Pprone to attachment, Kazetani Yurina is a highly-religious Yamtaian Patriot. However, she is also a bit of a gossip and has a habit of talking about people behind their backs (for good or ill). Nevertheless, she is hardworking, reliable, and conscientious. She takes her duties as a Mecha Pilot very seriously and doesn't let people distract her from her duties. In terms of attire, she favors the Star Army Exercise Uniform, Type 40.

Later on, she was assigned to a billet on the YSS Azalea II, to serve under her former basic training officer, Chui Hotaru Sasaki.
