J'dompal is a human-sized intelligent octopus. He speaks fluent Trade and Yamataigo with no hint of an accent and is surprisingly talkative. His skin is smooth and usually orange-colored, but he can change colors at will. He simply usually prefers to be bright orange and stand out.
J'dompal grew up as an orphan in Funky City. He never knew his parents or anyone else like him or where he came from. He made some money by performing puppet shows with a pair of exceptionally articulate puppets, each of which took four of his eight limbs to play. Once the novelty of a street puppeteer started to wear off, he started taking jobs as a bartender where his size and eight limbs also came in handy. He wanted to see more of the world and moved to Kyoto where he became the main bartender at The Furious Sound just after it opened in YE 38.
