Nola stands five feet tall, with long jet black hair that extends down past her waist, she never seems to style it, and other then just the basic care of washing it she doesn't seem to ever style it ether usually leaving it as a disheveled mess on her head. She has piercing red eyes however clear dark bags can be seen under her eyes and her skin is what one would call “Sun-missed” as in.. She is extremely pale. Her body is thin as she has a very lithe build, she also tends to have a tired or disinterested look on her face.

Nola displays little to no interest in anything around her, people, and places, all seem to not cause any real positive reaction out of her, though this may be due to her constantly being tired as she is seen with large bags under her eyes at all times. She's not one to mince words and rarely sugarcoats things when talking to others. Her voice stays a tired monotone when she speaks.

This changes however when it comes to the only thing she seems to have a passion for, anything and everything Leviathan tech-based, even the Sylph offshoot of the technology, her eyes almost light up and her voice goes from tired to energetic, almost a whole different person emerges when she can talk about her obsession, becoming more animate and energetic as she speaks.

Minimal to adequate effort will be given to most tasks unless they pertain to her survival or to her favorite subject, in which case that same level of energy when she speaks of it, transfers into her work.

She can and often does lose herself in her research, which is the likely cause of her lack of energy when doing anything else

Other than work Nola doesn't seem to socialize much at all and mostly keeps to herself, preferring the solitude of her lab to going out and interacting with others.

While she does have training in the medical area her bedside manner is atrocious, clearly denoting her interest in that field is more scientific than any goodwill or want to help the injured.

Nola Aberdeen was born on YE 20.9.35 on the capital world of Noria. She was born during the last years of the space race and colonization of Ayenee, she lost cousins, uncles and aunts in the Umarian Wars reducing her family size to only a scant few. Loss leaving the young girl somewhat detached at the sudden loss of so many of her family.

The Void War thinned her family even further leaving the girl even further detached and isolated, withdrawing into herself she grew and eventually was pulled into her mandatory military service where she met with her obsession, Hiveminds, connecting to them and interacted with them more deeply then many would normally, she sought to learn more of them, their make and functions, how to make more and manipulate their genome, she delved head first into her new obsession even as others lost themselves to Asuna energy and the lure it had, Nola spurned that source of power and only focused on what she considered their possible future, The Leviathans and the Hiveminds as well.

She continued her work and research through the Craethel War, by this point all her remaining family had already died in space against their new foe. Nola found herself feeling nothing, she still had access to the thing that had pulled her out of herself so many years ago, the hiveminds of the Leviathans, and so for her things continued as normal research and study, as well as deepening her knowledge on the focus of her obsession.

When she learned that others had thought their homeworld destroyed she had much the same reaction as when the last of her family died, nothing. Other than the slight irritation that someone disturbed her research to tell her about the situation.

• Survival training, both normal and harsh conditions, Nola has such training though she keeps that knowledge to herself, having delved deep into such knowledge for her own reasons.
• Scientific Training specifically in biology focusing more in genetics, Leviathan Technology and Sylph Technology
• Due to Mandetory Military service Nola does have sparse combat training, mostly just a proficiency in small arms.
• Communication - Nola can communicate in Norian and Trade (language) fluently
• Vesper Expression - Nola is able to use Vesper Links to communicate telepathically. She is capable of utilizing the ability to project images, thoughts or feelings while vesper communicating with others.
• Nola has extreme mastery and understand of Leviathan Technology as well as Sylph Technology the growth, gene modding, gene manipulation, function and application of such technologies this includes both civil and combat applications and usage, her knowledge bordering on obsession.
• Medical training how to treat wounds, preform surgery, etc etc, however she learned more for scientific reasons rather then medical reasons and her bedside manner is atrocious.
