Mikael Battle

Mikael Battle is a player character played by Samuel and is currently involved in the Land of Dreamers plot.

Height: 6'0” Mass: 148 lbs. Build and Skin Color: Slightly tanned lean build, with broad shoulders.

Eyes and Facial Features: He has piercing, quite clueless green eyes that are typically wide with wonder.

Hair Color and Style: Wild and unkempt, his hair is a nightmare mane that fights to cover his eyes. He is frequently seen brushing it away with his hands.

Distinguishing Features: His generally clueless and innocent look, combined with the furious fight over his vision with his hair.

Personality: Mikael suffers from short-term memory loss, and he knows it: This makes him compensate in the best way he knows how. Usually, he will make jokes to cover for his ignorance; Sometimes he will become upset, and even angry. Mikael tries to keep notes of names and places whenever he can to commit them to memory.

For the most part, he is very patient and as pleasant as he can make himself out to be. His memory-loss does lead him to be depressed on occasion – but most of the time he can't remember to be depressed.

Mikael Battle was born on Nepleslia in YE 16. From there, his family moved frequently due to numerous (and mostly forgotten) reasons. By the time he was eight years of age, they discovered that he suffered from a condition that affected his memory: he suffered frequent memory loss, mostly in the short-term.

Eight years later, his family planned to move to Nepleslia once again. Left to his own devices, Mikael promptly forgot which transport to board and slipped onto the wrong ship.

Ask him to remember your name three minutes after you meet him, Mikael will give you a blank stare. But ask him about the first Misshu war, and he can quote most of the major battles and even some more obscure ones. This ability also extends to most of the major events up to YE 31.

Mikael quickly learned in his younger years how to treat the larger injuries a frequent amnesiac could sustain. He committed the act of bandaging and treating cuts, small injuries, and broken bones. He understands most of the use of common civilian-available tools.

Mikael, taking pride in his heritage, learned the basic use of the more common guns and close-combat weapons one would find in Nepleslian space.

Ever since he learned Trade in its written form, Mikael has tried his best to keep frequent records of important events using an archaic journal and whatever writing utensil was at hand. He will also write poems, puns, jokes, and the impressions his surroundings give him.

Mikael is a runner. He has the endurance of a soldier coupled with his quick lean frame. He is physically fit, and his muscle mass seems quite natural for a boy his age.
