Ke-M2-W4200 Kuma Offensive/Defensive System

The Ke-M2-W4200 Kuma Offensive/Defensive System is a weapon developed in YE 42 for the Ke-M2 "Mindy" Series of Power Armor, specifically the Ke-M2-4 Series "Mindy" Armor version of the armor. Replacing the forearm weapons that come standard with the armor, the Kuma adds a number of close range offensive and defensive capabilities to the armor. Intended to be used for close combat and bodyguard situations, the Kuma is a unique, but still useful weapon.

The 'Left Paw' Gauss Cannon is mounted to an armor's left forearm beneath the Zesuaium shield there. Feeding from a pair of eight round tube magazines built into the underside of the shield, the Left Paw is a dual barreled gauss cannon firing 8ga Electromagnetic Smoothbore shells.

• Muzzle Flash: Varies depending on the ammunition used. Armor Shot, Kinetic Slug, Airburst Slug, and Scalar Slug produce no noticeable muzzle flash; Plasma Slug generates a bright green blast of plasma.
• Retort: The solid and shot projectiles generate a sound akin to ripping canvas while passing by, while the Plasma Slug produces a noise akin to searing bacon, dopplerized by the speed its traveling.
• Projectile Appearance: Varies depending on the ammunition used. Armor Shot produces a cloud of small balls; Kinetic, Airburst, and Scalar Slugs are all robust Sears-Haack bodies; and Plasma Slug generates a bright green blast of plasma .
• Effective Range: 200 Meters for the Nerimium Armor Shot, 1000 Meters for the Plasma Slug, 4000 meters for all other slugs.

The 'Right Paw' Plasma Cannon & Xiphos is mounted to an armor's right forearm, contained in a boxlike mounting which holds the Plasma Cannon itself and the retractable Xiphos flush against the forearm

• Retort: The only retort of the right Paw is the soft hum of the electromagnetic launchers
• Projectile Appearance: Each projectile is an Arrow
• Effective Range: 2km in Atmosphere, 4km for the Ahōdori round; twice this in Space.
• Rate of Fire: Varies depending on the user. ALl arrows can be volley fired simultaneously, or fired one by one.
• Recoil: None.

The Right Paw uses arrows from the Kinzoku Hane (金属羽根) - Ta-W4-1a Gauss Assisted Bow as projectiles, albeit with the normal method of launching them replaced with simple electromagnetic launch. Because of this, only certain arrows can be used.

• Ammunition: Kinzoku Hane Arrows
• Round Capacity: Six Arrows, each in their own launcher.

• Firing Mechanism: The Right Paw fires its arrows by accelerating them out of individual launchers, which propel the arrows using electromagnetic force.
• Loading: The Right Paw is loaded by placing arrows into their individual launchers, where each one is locked in place until fired.
• Weapon Sight: The weapon can be aimed through AIES integration or traditionally, by pointing the user's arm at the target

The Right Paw incorporates a ke-m2-w3901_aether_blade_xiphos, adding it as a close combat weapon. Instead of using a Katana or Wakizashi, the Xiphos was chosen for its relatively light weight and ability to be used in a number of ways. The Xiphos is used as an armblade paralell to the arm when in use, and when not in use folds back into the Right Paw itself.

• Damage Description: This weapon deals damage through cutting, slashing, thrusting, cleaving, and burning.

• Appearance Description: The xiphos is a leaf-shaped, double-edged, and one-handed sword. It's design allows the weapon to be an effective cutting and thrusting weapon. Like all Ke-M2-W3901 Series weapons, the sharpest points of the zesuaium blade have a monomolecular edge, giving the wielder greater cutting power.
• Purpose/Usage: Inspired by the Elysian Xiphos Infantry Blades, the xiphos is utilized in melee combat as a thrusting and cutting blade. In starship boarding operations, the weapon can also be utilized as a hull cutting tool.
