Heavy Gauss Starship Cannon

First built in YE 42, Origin Industries' Heavy Gauss Starship Cannon is a super-heavy anti-starship weapon designed to be as destructive a weapon as possible without having to rely on Aether technology.

About the Heavy Gauss Starship Cannon

The Heavy Gauss Starship Cannon, or HGSC was designed to be a super-heavy 'Main Gun' for large starships and space stations, as well as being capable for use in ground-to-orbit planetary defense systems. Based on the smaller 500mm Gauss Impelled Positron Cannon, and the much smaller LGSC, it is a scaled-up version providing the heaviest weaponry that Origin Industries makes as of YE 42 . While designed without a ship to go on, it is flexible in where it can be placed.

Nomenclature Information

Appearance

The Normal appearance of the HGSC is a simple tube that is mounted onto a starship, star base, or ground emplacement, and can be either sticking out from the front of the craft or mounted along its surface. The rest of the HGSC is buried within the ship, star base, or ground emplacement. Unmounted, the HGSC is a long tube, which has a large receiver at one end where ammunition is inserted by an automatic loader.
