The Stupendemonia is an ancient, five-mile long bulk cargo freighter purchased by Shasta No Sekai in YE 46 to act as a mothership for the Fall Of Osman and was renamed the HMMMS Stupendamonia, often simply referred to as the “Stupendamonia”. The Stupendemonia stands as the former flagship of the Osman Liberation Operation. A colossal converted container ship, it played a pivotal role in the coalition's mission to liberate the planet Osman. Operated by Shasta No Sekai, the ship was transformed into a versatile and formidable mothership to support the entire coalition.
The Stupendemonia is a horrifically slow, cumbersome ship with little if any arms, mismatched armor, and signifigant damage both to its exterior and interior though its manufactory capabilites remain intact.
The Stupendemonia is currently property of the Iron Company.
The Stupendamonia's journey to its current state began with a significant investment. Purchased by Shasta No Sekai for a staggering 3 million KS, this behemoth had a humble origin as a bulk cargo transporter already almost a century old, predating some starfaring nations in the Kikyo sector itself.
Once acquired, the ship underwent a remarkable transformation. The first major modification involved replacing all of its large storage containers with specialized drop pods. These pods are designed for rapid deployment and can be used to transport troops, equipment, and supplies planetside, ensuring swift and efficient ground operations.
In addition to the drop pods, the Stupendamonia was equipped with extensive fabricators to support groundside operations. These fabricators are invaluable logistical support to the coalition forces.
To bolster its defenses, the ship saw the hazardous installation of anti-ship turrets. These turrets serve as a deterrent against hostile vessels and provide an added layer of protection to the Stupendamonia and its precious cargo. They also offer limited groundside fire support.
Furthermore, armored plates were meticulously bolted onto the ship's exterior, enhancing its resilience in combat situations. These plates provide additional protection against enemy fire and environmental hazards, ensuring the ship's durability during its vital missions.
The Stupendamonia's adaptability is further highlighted by the installation of missile batteries within some of its modified containers. These batteries offer ranged firepower to support ground operations and are capable of launching precision strikes against enemy positions.
The HMMMS Stupendamonia serves as a symbol of determination and resourcefulness, epitomizing the spirit of the Osman Liberation Operation. With its diverse capabilities, this colossal vessel plays a central role in the coalition's mission to reclaim Osman and secure the freedom of its people.
The Stupendemonia saw significant action in the Osman liberation campaign. As flagship the ship was the heart of the Coalitions leadership and logistics base where its converted drop pods deployed hundreds of thousands of mercenaries as well as their equipment, vehicles, and other war materials with an 86% survival rating on landing.
While not overtly armed beyond a couple anti-starship batteries, missiles, and secondaries the Flagship was up-armored from the top as a psuedo-capital vessel though was virtually unarmored from the sides. Durring the length of the over half-year campaign the flagship suffered considerable damage limiting its capabilities to deploy troops or assets.
The Flagship spent the majority of the campaign diving in and out of high-orbit to deploy troops and then burning to safe distances while its fleet and escourts partook in one of the single longest running naval engagements in the sectors history at over five months in length. Where the flagship would return from time to time to be fed the raw materials from smaller fleet engagements to its fabricators to make spare parts for other ships as well as replacement war material for the coalition.
The Flagship suffered extreme damage in the final month of the campaign and had its drives crippled making it unable to escape combat. Seeing a significant battle to protect the flagship the Osman Coalitions fleet and that of the NMX came to a final exchange which saw the Flagship all but destroyed the flagship was diverted to collide planetside with the NMX final capital ship and flagship the R'kk where it was grounded planetside and besieged by Coalition forces who managed to rupture its shield and allow coalition naval forces to bombard it from orbit and the Stupendemonia was diverted in time to avoid being dropped on the planet where it would have created an apocolyptic event that would have ended all life on osman within years if succeeded.
With the Osman Coalition and NMX naval forces in the system both dissolved with the coalitions phyrric victory the flagship was divested of signifigant war material by various coalition forces as compensation when the coalitions payment ran dry. The Flagship remained in the Osman system for a month where the SnS corporation and some remaining coalition forces lacking a means to leave the system fought to keep the flagship in orbit and make repairs to the ships damage.
The Flagship was later loaded with captured NMX war material, abandoned or stolen coalition technologies of the same, and signifigant wealth in the form of raw and processed Osmanium. The flagship was later towed back to the Freehold Factory system where it was unloaded of all assets and re-supplied with fresh fabricators and factorium assembly lines and stocked with the contents of a contract between the corporation and a private military group, the Iron Company where ownership the flagship was turned over to the Iron Company despite the surface and interior damage to the vessel to act as a factory vessel to complete a purchase order on site of the IC's choosing where it remains in their custody and use.
