This Collapsible Rapid Deployment Module has all the The Ke-P1-X3800 Towing System wasd developed for use with the Collapsible Rapid Deployment Module. It was developed for the Star Army of Yamatai. It became available in YE 38.
The Ke-P1-X3800 provides a simple means for soldiers to move a CRDM to another location. Towing a CRDM effectively requires a vehicle with enough power such as the Type 30 Cargo Truck. The CRDM can be in collapsed mode or deployed.
The P1-X3800 is a simple structure, consisting of the main beam, four folding armatures to secure the CRDM to the unit. In addition there are four non-drive wheels with electronic braking system.
The P1-X3800 has no independent power system. The power is supplied by connecting the power cable to an external power port on the CRDM or the towing vehicle. The power is used to raise or lower the armatures, and to steer the four wheels.
Each of the wheels has an electronically controlled hub. This allows each of the wheels to turn up to 30ยบ to the left or right. This feature is used to help with towing and negotiating turns.
With the P1-X3800 attached to a vehicle the unit is backup up close to the CRDM to be towed. The CRDM is elevated using the Gravity control of the CRDM. Once it has been risen sufficiently for the trailer to be placed under. The unit is then lowered onto the X3800 and the Gravity control is turned off.
The armatures are then engaged and the unit is held in place.
Note: The contents of the CRDM should be securely stowed to avoid any shifting during transit. Especially if the unit is being moved in the deployed mode.
Reverse the procedure used to load the CRDM.
