The meteor hammer is a chain weapon that is a length of wire, rope, or chain, attached to one or two heavy weights, used as a martial arts weapon, the weapon themselves are designed and made by the Paddenmour family and usually a request is sent to any available manufacturer for production of a weapon for a specific family member fitted to them for length and weight as they train. the weapon is always produced along with new members of the Paddenmour family as it is a traditional weapon, though the more simple training variants are made by the family themselves. All Paddenmours are trained in the use of this weapon including the newest Orianna Paddenmour.

The meteor hammer is designed to fit in length and weight the person meant to wield it. While the weapon can be used if not fitted in this way with no large loss of usability, the weapon itself is also a mark of age and passage in the family and the passing on of tradition, as tradition a personal meteor hammer will be kept, and etchings added to it of dates or important moments in that Paddenmours life. as such every Paddenmour has a personal meteor hammer that stays with the family even after that person's death as another form of record of their life.

Though many have lived rather uneventful lives, and as such the weapon has seen little to no recognition in the wider world as of yet, though it's primary claim to fame family-wise is the usefulness of the weapon for small game hunting and self defense, though it's rarely been used in the second manner for quite some time the martial art surrounding its use has stayed true to the original teachings, making it a viable combat and self defense weapon if required.

It is a six meter long length of chain with a twenty centimeter diameter weighted head on one end, the head is studded to increase striking power.
