The basic design of the Kiphae Body Suit has been around since YE 20, but the original versions were bulky and uncomfortable for the wearer. In YE 42, the suit's structure was made comfortable with the addition of lighter and more comfortable Polymer nanocomposite and L'ulorsha Weave (Type II) in it's structure. Since then it has become fashionable for Norians to wear the suit like everyday clothing (Without the Helmet), especially on planets where the temperature or other conditions are not favorable with their physiology.¹⁾ In YE 44, compatibility for the Iron Company was added.

The function and design of the Kiphae Body Suit.

The Kiphae Body suit comes in a variety of colors. The suit features a glossy sleek, armor-like outward appearance on the torso, shoulders, and arms. The suit is form-fitting, designed to accentuate the wearer's physique while providing flexibility and protection. Notably, the bodysuit includes detachible gloves and boots, which are also available in a wide range of colors. In general, the ones utilized by the United Norian Navy are white and black with gold accents.

It is put on the same way that a multi-sectional jumpsuit would be. The wearer begins by stepping into the leg sections of the suit. Once the legs are securely fitted, the suit is pulled over the head. Next, the arms are slid into the sleeves. Finally, there are two zippers that secure the suit: the first zipper is fastened from left to right, and the second zipper closes from right to left. The entire process can be completed independently by the person wearing the suit.

The suit and its structure are made with Polymer nanocomposite for its outer shell, with four layers of L'ulorsha Weave (Type II) which then has a removable Activated Self-Sustaining Infusion Environment layer. The detachable gloves, helmet and boots are also made with this structure.

The Kipae Body Suit utilizes the same Activated Self-Sustaining Infusion Environment system for life support as the Cholegam Combat Suit. This system also manages temperature and biological waste. Processed wastes are then circulated into the power system and vaporized with any carbon residues collected and jettisoned into pouches in the leg sections.

During regular maintenance, the insulation membrane requires cleaning to remove any uncirculated material or carbon waste. ASIEP pouches integrated into the legs must be refilled from a stable purified culture of leviathan genetic material held within sterile lab conditions. Disassembly, Cleaning, and Replenishment of the ASIEP system takes approximately 30 minutes under ideal conditions.

The Kipae Body Suit utilizes the same capacitors utilized for the Quintessence Pulse Pistol. The United Norian Navy will sometimes request a version that also can utilize the larger PMR "Artemesia" cartridges. In general the suit can sustain a Norian for up to 48 hours. The cartridges are inserted on the left hip. In YE 44, compatibility with capacitor cartridges for the Knucklehead Standard-Issue Battle Rifle utilized by the Iron Company. Lighting in the suit utilizes a quantum dot system similar to the one utilized on their starships.

The Kipae utilizes a basic computer system equipped with a biological interface that the wearer can control via their Sthibon Symbiote (For Norians) or utilizing a basic SQUID interface.(For Valhallans). This system is located on the upper back of the suit.
