In YE 44, the Iron Company settled in the Njord System on a world that offered a wide range of some of the ugliest and meanest xenobiological wildlife in the entire Kikyo Sector. One of the most aggressive species on the planet is a gigantic Bee, known for its potent and deadly necrotic sting. Many Knuckleheads have perished in the quest to retrieve the precious golden Honey they produce. In YE 45, Tacho developed a recipe for a type of mead made with this delicious sweet honey. It was referred to as Njord Slayer's Mead, named for the Njord Knuckleheads that risked their necks to get the honey.

The melomel-style mead is made from the pure ground water from springs near the Iron Company settlement at Nóatún Hills, fermented Honey, spices, and a type of plum that grows at the edge of the jungles on Njord Prime. The actual process and recipe is a closely guarded secret that is only known by Tacho.

The first sip of Njord Slayer's Mead is an unparalleled experience. It begins with a sweet and viscous entry on the palate, reminiscent of honey harvested from the valhallan homeworld's most cherished bee colonies. However, the flavor then evolves into something truly alien, with complex layers of fruity plum. Hints of exotic spices dance on the tongue, while the undertones of Njordian flora add a botanical, almost mystical quality to the mead. The sweetness is balanced with a mild tartness that lingers, leaving a long, memorable finish.

The Njord Slayer's Mead is kept in decorative 1.5 Liter bottles and costs roughly 35KS. In general, Tacho gives the drink out as a reward or incentive to the Knuckleheads.
