12.7mm Medium Chain Gun

The NAM 12.7mm Medium Chain Gun is a weapon designed to take down power armor and light vehicles, primarily in atmospheric conditions when Positron and Plasma weapons are inappropriate, though it is perfectly viable for use in space as well.

It was first introduced by NAM in YE 32 and continues to be a staple Nepleslian weapon, Primarily through use by the Raider series of powered armor frames. It finds use as a vehicle mounted weapon, as a Power Armor machine gun or a light infantry support weapon mounted on a tripod. The chain gun uses external power instead of recoil to load each round. It uses a motor to load 12.7mm linkless ammunition. It can use chemical rounds or act as a simple mass driver needing the user to simply switch between modes. This dual feature was added in YE 35.

The 12.7mm Medium Chain Gun is a simple three barreled chain gun that is belt fed. It ejects spent casings rightwards.
