The TWF-HP/LP series is a line of streamlined assault rifles for Tsumi troops forged by the TWF1). Though now designed and constructed with renewed blueprints from early YE39 and reduced production costs comparing to the older and more archaic designs. Featuring both a heavy and light platform, with both filling the most basic of combat roles.
The heavy platform is primarily used by Tsumi power armours, due to their high caliber and fire rate, to where not even a Tsumi could compensate for the recoil on their own. It is a rotary rifle comparable to most humanoid sized standard miniguns, as its mechanical design also more, or less is very similar in function. Possessing added mount rails, the weapon can be locked to the PA causing a lot of the recoil to be compensated by the armour platform. The 1A, or “Warbringer”, was the first rendition of the weapon system.
The 1B, or “Warforger”, is the much more refined and simpler variant. The light platform features a less severe, but still an extremely harsh kick to it. Integrated with a Tsumi SS Tube ontop of the barrel and modified with a seperate cartridge that is able to load size 1 Tsumi Star Splitters. Causing the rifle to possess two loaded magazines, with A cartridge behind the trigger loaded with grenades, And the magazine infront of the trigger loading the conventional rounds.
Both models feature similar if not same parts, meaning field stripping for parts from one for the other is not hard. The 1B was simply a redesigned 1A that saw the motor removed. In addition, three barrels were dropped to one, and the final difference is a more reliable and simplified feed system.
With the constant drive to carry out crusades, the Tsumi sought more efficient ways to bring non-believers to their knees in submission. Thus weapons research took a drastic leap in some areas, far improving in efficiency of the kill. This system was one of the earliest ever designed with the 1A. The 1B was later brought about by the redefining of the system, but never saw significant use until YE39. Both have been tweaked since manufacturing was renewed for the Tsumi exodus to the Kikyo Sector.
Below is the basic manufacturing data for this weapon.
Below is the textual description of the TWF-1A\B.
TWF-1A Heavy Platform “Warbringer” |
---|
The 1A is rather blocky and easily discerned as the original concept model. The weapon looks like a hybrid between an assault rifle and a minigun that should be mounted on a vehicle. It is rather bulky and clearly far from being sleek, but still rather functional in appearance. The three barrels stick forward unwavering, the motor rather bare and not in any kind of housing. The furnishings are of a sturdy wood. |
TWF-1B Light Platform “Warforger” |
The 1B however, is clearly a much more refined and reduced design. It is much more identifiable as being similar to a more standard definition of assault rifle. Its mechanisms are much more robust and simplified, the fixed barrel characteristically meant for a heavier round. It is of an older reciprocating gas block system, but this does not hinder it from performing its job effectively. As well as the common placement of the rifle magazine before the action. The addition of a built in top grenade launcher which features a bulpup setup, is a clear leap in design. The rifle is much more stream lined, and modular in aesthetic. |

Retort | |
---|---|
Heavy Platform8) | Loud and thunderous, with a constant deep pitch that lasts until the magazine is emptied, or the user ceases firing. |
Light Platform9) | Loud and comparable to the crack of thunder. This sound precedes every shot fired. |
Effective Range | |
---|---|
Heavy Platform10) | 500 yards |
Light Platform11) | 100 yards |
Rate of Fire | |
Heavy Platform12) | 100 rpm |
Light Platform13) | 30 rpm |
Recoil | |
Heavy Platform14) | Because of the rotary movement of the barrels, and the heavy round used. The weapon cannot be fired in a stable manner unless the user possesses great strength. Even then accuracy is not to be expected. Aim will shift erratically during firing, and the weapon will push backwards heavily. |
Light Platform15) | Like its heavier model, the rifle suffers from heavy recoil, which can only be mostly compensated with the user's immense strength. If they even possess such strength. Otherwise the rifle jerks back with each pull of the trigger, with aim jerking upwards. |

Firing Mechanism | |
---|---|
Heavy Platform26) | The 1A is a heavy rotary assault rifle. Its three alloy barrels are spun by a motor that is built into the top of the weapon. The feeding system for the bulk ammo box magazine is linked to that of the action, which in turn is synced to the motor. This ensures that the round is not fired when the barrel is not aligned, and that rounds are stripped into the chamber in pace with the barrels spin. The bullet is fired from the bottom barrel, and due to being motorized, prone to overheating if fired to long. |
Light Platform27) | The 1B is far less complex, and less vulnerable to possible malfunction. It is due to this simplified design that the 1B far more reliable with its standard gas reciprocating bolt, and gas block system. |
Mode Selector | |||
---|---|---|---|
1A | The weapon only switches from fire to safe, which is set by whether if the electric motor is switched on, or off. | ||
1B | An ambidextrous selector on either side of the weapon just above the trigger guard is used. It is a simple knob that can clicked to one of three setting, with only a finger. | ||
Firing Modes | |||
Model | Safe | Full Auto | Semi-auto |
1A | ✔ | ✔ | ✘ |
1B | ✔ | ✔ | ✔ |
Attachment Hard Points | |
---|---|
1A | Top of the receiver, and a mounting on the motor for a shield plate of up Tier 3 heavy anti-personnel, providing limited protection from incoming fire from the front. |
1B | Top of the receiver, on either side of the lower rifle barrel, and an underslung rail beneath the lower barrel for foregrip only. |
