Developed by the Ryu Heavy Industries in YE 43, the Sakura 200×1000 Railgun Shell is designed for the Sakura Type 43 200mm Heavy Railgun. It differs from the Star Army Variant as it lacks the electron shell, longer, and is compatible with the "TaihÅ" Scalable Mass Driver.
The round is designed with indirect fires and orbital bombardment missions in mind. In addition to the ability to control its descent (if coordinated with friendly units), these rounds can be encased with shielding to protect them from the ravages of re-entry.
When fired, the sabot is vaporized and turned into a plasma armature.
