The Sturmhamarr, or Stormhammer, Missile Launcher is a scalable missile in common use with the Iron Company as of YE 44
The Sturmhamarr was created as a standardized, scalable missile system for the Iron Company's many vehicles and starships. While some could in fact make the argument that simply scaling up and adapting an existing system makes little sense as there are keen differences between starships and combat vehicles such as operational environment, the main purpose was to streamline training and maintenance. The Iron Company's reasoning went like this you've worked on one Sturmhamarr, you've worked on them all-minor differences aside. Gas Charge two-stage munitions were also developed-with the gas charge being triggered first followed by the missile's motor igniting; enabling the launcher to be mounted in odd places on a vehicle.
This ensures that even if say a Feildsmith was not around or otherwise preoccupied with repairing a ground vehicle-based system, it would ensure that any smith regardless of occupation would be able to enact repairs.
Usually, a box with at least two launch tubes in it, though it can take the form of a cylinder.
