Cramped, stuffy and lit by the all-too-harsh utilitarian lights used in most military and corporate structures-the Model 44 Standardized Corridor is a scalable standardized hall used by personnel to shuffle back and forth between sections of the ship.
They were built primarily with efficiency in mind, and therefore are usually kept as small as possible, usually modified to accommodate expected foot traffic and/or possible vehicles as well. The cramped design also serves a secondary purpose-it allows the vessel's crew to more effectively defend against boarders, often forcing attackers into melee combat, or luring them into open killzones and limiting their options of attack; this is especially important given the prevalence of power armor.
The corridors are typically made from Steel or other alloys, large capital scale vessels will also have a thin layer of monoplate to further provide additional reinforcement to the corridor-they serve as the primary means of getting around the ship.
Deployable Bulkheads have also been added, though given that Company vessels typically run with no atmosphere in combat situations, they are normally used either in the event of an accident to seal off sections of the ship or to limit the movement of borders.
A dark-grey corridor with almost black carpeting with harsh overhead lights at regualar intervals. Size varies depending on purpose.
