EM-G11 "Explorer" Field Communicator

The Emrys Industries field communicator is intended for use on worlds without an established communications grid, it became available in YE 33.

The EM-G11 or “Explorer” is a dual mode communicator, when in locations where normal civilian communication networks exist it operates like other communicators. When no network is available, the unit operates in a higher power mode this increases its point to point range, and allows it to access a EM-O2 "Houmen" Communication Satellite. It has a small LCD screen on the front 15.9mm x 15.9mm (.625“ x .625”), which can display the time, or identify incoming calls.

It has a .88cm x 1.77cm (2.25” x 4.5“) high definition screen on the inside of the cover, .88cm x 1.86cm (2.25 and an 4.74”) on the base, this is used as touch screen and can display a virtual keyboard.
