Build and Skin Color: She is athletically built and has a fair complexion.

Eyes and Facial Features: Her eyes are a bright and crisp blue, and she always seems to have a smile on her face, which reveals her dimples. She typically wears small, thin framed glasses, not because she needs them to see.

Ears: She has normal Nepleslian ears.

Hair Color and Style: Her strawberry blonde hair is long and is kept in a neat braid down her back. Though long, her bangs fall naturally to either side of her face.

Distinguishing Features: Her right arm is a simple cybernetic prosthesis without any special attachments or upgrades, she hides this fact by wearing white gloves on both hands. She also has scars that spiderweb her right thigh.

Personality: Tessarosa isn't much for formalities and prefers to be called “Tessa” instead of her rank or last name. She often prefers quiet and solitude to large crowds, during her times of solitude she will often gaze out at the stars. Tessa is typically shy and soft spoken, though she has been known to get rowdy. Tessa is extremely shy about showing her cybernetic arm, typically wearing long sleeve shirts and gloves even when it's too warm for such attire. She also has a habit of playing with her ponytail.

Tessa was raised in a small backwards holistic purist community. The commune was founded in YE 14 on Delsauria by ten families: The Howards, Krasters, Bollans, Smiths, Heralds, Jorgesons, Lollards, Caracks, Numers, and the Fitzgeralds. Her family and the others left Nepleslia to form the colony in order to keep their future children safe from what they believed to be the corrupting influence of gene-therapy and cybernetics. They also renounced all wealth and took up a nomadic lifestyle, roaming the vast desert wastes of the planet.

Due to their general hate of technology, the community was shunned from most of the towns and villages that dotted the planets surface. The nomads respected the village's opinions and left them alone.

It was into this environment that Tessarosa Fitzgerald was born. She had an different childhood than most Nepleslians, having to forage, hunt, and dig wells as a small child. It wasn't all bad, she was free at night to stare at the stars above. She often dreamed of serving on a starship, being able to go to planets where they don't have to worry about the Glass hail.

Since she was the eldest of the community's children, she ended up having to babysit a lot during her early teens. It was during one of the times she was babysitting that a Delsaurian predator attacked one of the other children. She managed to fight the predator off, but lost her right arm and heavily injured her right leg. She was taken to a nearby doctor, who then had her medevaced to Juhana and the doctors, without consulting her parents made a judgement call to give her a cybernetic arm.

After she was released back to her family, she was kicked out of the community. Even her parents agreed that she would be a bad influence to the other children. So, full of rage at the injustice of her “excommunication”, Tessarosa left the community and joined the Nepleslian Navy to become a medic, that wouldn't just assume what the person wanted.

• Communication: Tessa is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, ships, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Tessa is fluent in Nepleslian. She can speak and write it correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. Tessa is skilled in field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc).

• Fighting: Tessa received intensive hand-to-hand combat training (primarily focused on disabling and/or killing opponents) and has followed up that knowledge with a rigorous training program. Weapons she is trained in include pistols of all types, knives, grenades (and other forms of explosive weaponry) and rifles of all kinds. Tessa is in excellent physical shape and has considerable endurance. Tessa is also able to pilot land-based power armors, but must rely on the suit’s A.I. to do anything advanced.

• Survival: Tessa knows how to survive in hostile environments, both from training and growing up in the wastes of Delsauria. She can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc. Tessa can camouflage herself and is familiar with guerrilla warfare tactics.

• Strategy (Tactics/discipline): Tessa can understand and give out tactical commands and work with her troop to follow those commands efficiently. She knows the importance of teamwork on the battlefield, has been intensively trained in discipline and morale, and is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). Tessa is able to recognize ambush points. She knows basic math in order to calculate distances, etc, and can use a tactical map.

• Medical: Tessa knows how to diagnose and treat conditions, apply first aid and emergency care (CPR, etc), and perform field surgery/general surgery if given the proper tools/facilities. She also knows how to work in and use hospital equipment.

• Construction(Masonry): Due to the Glass Hail, everyone in the Community she was raised in had to know how to build a strong enough house out of the nearby stone to protect them from the sharp shards of obsidian.

• Maintenance and Repair (Cybernetics): Tessa is familiar with and able to fix most problems with cybernetic components and to an extent, systems. While not necessarily well-versed on how a part functions and the theory behind each, she will be able to keep things operating within normal parameters. She can also install new cybernetics, if she has the equipment on hand.
