Gordon Inglewood (Brother, DECEASED) - The eldest of the three, Gordon was one handsome devil, looking exactly like his father - except without the gross wrinkles and the lazy eye. He helped his mother wherever she needed it. After finishing high school, he surprised his dad when he went into the field of medicine and science, much to the dismay of the mister, who had worked tirelessly to craft Gordon into being his protegee son. Martin practically idolized him for standing up against their father. Gordon thought about going into work as a residential physician, but decided against it and instead joined the Star Army of Nepleslia as a Medic. Five years after joining the marines, while being ferried down planet side in a shuttle. Harsh weather took out the vertical stabilizers and the pilot was forced to make a crash landing. There were no survivors.
Arthur Inglewood (Father) - Disowned as a teenager, he had to learn everything out on the road, saving every penny he could find. He finished High School and went to Law School on a scholarship and graduated with honors. Harsh and greedy, the man founded and now runs a law firm in Downtown Los Apagos. He demands the utmost respect out of his boys.
Sohan Inglewood (Mother, Geshrin) - If their was one thing Mr. Inglewood loved more than fortune it is his Sohan. Who could blame him? The geshrin woman was gorgeous with long flowing black hair and a smile that would quell any flame. She stayed home to take care of the boys while Mr. Inglewood was at work. She came from a family of doctors and introduced Martin and his brothers to basic medicine, much to the displeasure of dear old Daddy.
Warner Inglewood (Brother) - He followed in his father's footsteps and became a lawyer, working at the Inglewood Office of Law and Justice in Downtown Los Apagos.
Born into a comfortable lifestyle with two brothers, Martin's parents tried to shelter them from the harsh conditions during the . When Marty was ten, an allergic reaction to faulty prescription drugs caused the boy to go blind in both eyes. Mr. Inglewood sued the pharmaceutical company responsible, acting as the defense lawyer; winning the case.
As for the eyes, cybernetic eyes replaced the old organic ones, it even came with a light composition feature, though not sure how useful that turned out.
After completing high school, Marty went into the medicine field like his brother, Gordon, had and earned a Bachelor's degree in Internal Medicine. Martin remembered the messages his brother, Gordon, sent from his days in the military. He had told many stories of perilous adventures and sacrifices. Martin believed that if he stayed in the city and became a doctor, he may never get a chance to live an extraordinary life. The next day, he joined the marines as a medic, like his brother had.
Martin has a BA in Internal Medicine. He knows how to diagnose and treat conditions, apply first aid and emergency care (CPR, etc), and perform general surgery if given the proper tools/facilities. Martin knows how to work in and use hospital equipment. The Marine Corp taught him how perform surgery in the field and in times of battle while keeping a cool head.
Physical exercise at the camp will always haunt Martin. Through boot camp he received intensive hand-to-hand combat training (primarily focused on disabling and/or killing opponents) and has followed up that knowledge with a rigorous training program. Weapons he is trained in include pistols of all types, knives, grenades (and other forms of explosive weaponry) and rifles of all kinds. He is also able to pilot land-based power armors, but must rely on the suit’s A.I. to do anything advanced. The training had greatly conditioned his body and he had felt light as a feather for the first time in a long while.
While the topic wasn't new to him, Martin had a hard time keeping up. Survival training taught him to survive in hostile environments. He can build shelters, hunt and forage for food, build a fire, etc. The character can camouflage himself and is familiar with guerrilla warfare tactics. But he still doesn't know how to tie a double helix.
The character can understand and give out tactical commands and work with his troop to follow those commands efficiently. Ever since he could remember, his old man had instructed Marty and his brothers the importance of self-discipline and the value of working with others. He is able to recognize the command structure even while under extreme pressure (combat, etc). The army taught Marty to recognize ambush points, use math in order to calculate distances, etc, and can use a tactical map. Martin knows the importance of teamwork and morale and can understand/give out tactical commands and work with his troop to follow those commands efficiently.
Martin knows basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, ships, ground vehicles, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Your character is fluent in Nepleslian. He can speak and write it correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. The character is skilled in field communications and is proficient in all rudimentary forms of communication (hand signals, flashing lights, etc).
Martin knows how to operate cars, trucks, hovercrafts, and mecha.
Ah…the Family Library. Martin spent many days lounging the many books that had collected over the years. Martin knows the laws of Neplislia and other governments and how they work.
