Preferred Plots:
Build and Skin Color: He has a average frame for someone his size, now muscled due to the physical training he's been through. His skin is a light olive color, and the occasional dark brown freckle can be seen along his arms, and along his nose.
Eyes and Facial Features: His eyes are a shade of green, sometimes flecked with light brown depending on the light. His eyes are fairly round, and wide. His face is youthful, his cheekbones mostly hidden. He has a slight overbite, and his eyes lack the typical dark circles of an overworked Nepleslian Engineer.
Ears:
Hair Color and Style: His hair, while it was much longer before he joined the Marines, has regained some of its length after his head was shaved. He keeps it down to his neck, his bangs just barely hanging above his eyes. His hair is relatively messy, possessing a near constant case of bedhead.
Distinguishing Features:
Personality: An easy way to describe him would be 'playful'. He treats most of everything in life as a game, not something to be won, but something to be enjoyed. His somewhat lackadaisical attitude towards life has gotten him reprimanded a few times during training, but he's known to be more than capable of treating his work seriously, given time and incentive.
Thankfully, his attitude hasn't resulted in serious damage as of yet, minus a few, as he says, 'Bumps and Dings' on his record. Only time will really tell if his attitude will crack or stay the same.
He's the only child of Devon Stevens and Jack-Lynn Stevens, former Master Sergeants that retired after 8 years of service.
Jackson always had a lax upbringing, to fit with him being a lax child. He did decent in school, earning marks that were just below a 'Commendable' average, keeping him from getting into most universities with his parents pay. To raise that money, he joined local Synthtrash (A form of Neo-Garage rock taking elements from Jazz, Swing, Lounge, and Death Metal) groups, playing in shows for modest amounts of DA. Soon, he earned well above enough to get into the University he set out for, but he ended up losing the majority of his funds when his latest band broke up.
Now only having a choice to face his parents, or to live on the streets, he picked a third option. He heard about how easy the Military life was, and he could do a couple push-ups, so he figured it'd be a nice way to get social status and tuition money.
Training for him was hard, and he ended up lagging behind his class in most physical exercises. Slowly, however, through extra determination, he slowly managed to catch up, placing in the middle of his class. It's unknown what caused this burst in productivity. Some of his class said he didn't want to be kicked out, some said he didn't want to be hazed for bogging down the class average, and he refused to say anything on the matter.
Communications came mostly easy to Jackson, due to his parents teaching him the various rudimentary forms of communication (hand signs, flash-light codes) when he was young to keep him amused. In the Military, he seemed to have an easy time adapting and translating codes and using the Radios and Headsets, switching between channels easily and quickly.
Even a sudden burst of determination couldn't help him with this. He remained among the lowest in his class when it came to hand-to-hand combat maneuvers, still managing to barely stay in training, but he was still routinely beaten by novice and even untrained combatants. However, he is extremely capable with most rifles and pistols in the Nepleslian armory, keeping a relatively high mark in his marksmanship class, only showing a slight extra error when firing under pressure. He quotes being able to calm down and zone out his main strength in firing exercises.
His being capable of zoning out also helps with living in harsh conditions, and he's been properly trained with setting up tents, collecting plants from the wilderness, and creating natural salves and bandages. His only low ranking skill is Hunting and Guerilla Warfare, lacking the stealth required to preform such activities.
He is well trained in Tactics and Discipline, and this was the first class that he began to earn higher marks on. He's particularly adept at using a tactical map, being able to chart coordinates with a high speed. He's mediocre when it comes to giving out orders, often not certain and hesitating when he's promoted to a leading role in group exercises.
This was the only 'Commendable' class during his first few weeks in training, and it was his highest ranking when he graduated. He's well suited to repair, maintain, and even improve most current Nepleslian craft, this being the one skill he wanted to improve and build up on once he left the Military.
He is not well suited to driving most heavy vehicles, claiming that “The extra weight just throws me off balance!”, but he is adept at commandeering lightly armored vehicles and APC's.
Despite using a relatively low key instrument, the bass guitar, his claims of looking up to Guitarist 'Jon Rocketass' are very true, his playing almost matching the speed and sound of the Aethersperm guitarist. Now, he mostly uses his bass playing and singing to play bawdy military songs to keep morale relatively high.
