-====== Starship Stat Tables ======
-The stat tables are an optional tool for determining your star ship's speed, shield, and weapon numbers by assigning points to one of six stats from a pool of points equal to the ship’s base SP.

-==== Point to point FTL ====
-How much of your star ship is given over to its hyperdrive/wormhole equipment? A certain amount of points must be spent in order to have a point to point FTL powerful enough to work without damaging its host starship. Increasing the amount of points spent on the point to point FTL past this amount will increase the point to point FTL speed of your starship. Point to point FTL is easily disrupted and almost useless in combat but the high speed makes it vital for inter-system transportation.

-The formula is (A+B) x 2
-
-  * A = Point spent
-  * B = An odd number (1,3,5,7... starting with 1 for 1 point spent)
-
-This is basically equivalent to (SDR+1)^2 except for [2 points = 10 DR] vs [2 points = 9 DR]

-==== Shield Points ====

-==== Utility ====
-How much of your ship is given over to shuttle bays, repair systems, laboratories, supply storage, backup systems or anything else not related to the other attributes? Utility is a catch all stat that represents how much of your starship is devoted to its mission be it transport, repair, or science. Large Warships might only have a few points in utility for basic transport shuttles while small work ships devoted to repairs may have lots of points devoted to utility.
-
-Naturally Utility points can also be used to represent repair abilities or Electronics, and will not always be used as shuttle storage. This is just a guideline for how many shuttles could be stored if all the utility was used to house them.

-===== Faction Age Bonus System =====
-FABS helps determine how many points you get to spend with your ship based on how long they have been in the RP. This helps represent the level of technology available, shipbuilding experience, and familiarity with FTL systems.
-
-^Age^Description^Bonus^
-|0-2 years| As a new race/faction/company you are just getting started with designing starships and have yet to learn the basics of starship design. Odds are some aspect of your designs will need to be compromised in order to get the speed or weapons that you want.| Points = SP Value x 0.8 |
-|2-4 years| As an established race/faction/company the basics of starship design are becoming second nature. Less compromise is required in final designs as engineers and construction crews have learned how to get more out of everything they do| Points = SP Value|
-|5+ Years| As a longtime ship producer, basics of ship design are second nature and everyone involved knows how to get the most out of their starships. Compromise is rarely required in order to get what you want. | Points = SP Value x 1.2|
-
-Note:\\
--Always round up to the next nearest whole number when calculating points. \\
--Even with extra points to spend beyond the normal, you may not put more points into a system than there are categories for. (Example, you can not put more than 9 points into STL drives for a SP 10 ship even if you have 10 or 12 points to spend)
-
-===== Details =====
-**Explanation for why the numbers are structures the way they are:**
-The tables are set up so that you get the most per SP when you split the points evenly among the different categories. This is to help out well rounded ships and make it min/maxing progressively less effective the more you do it. This in turn prevents people from being penalized for making a well rounded ship when they go up against someone who min/maxed, but it doesn’t penalize min/maxing to the point where it is pointless to do so. That should put more choice in the player’s hands as to what they want to do with their design.
-
-This is a guideline, so if your value falls between an existing category feel free to make up a number. Also if you have components that are only vaguely related to a system you can count it towards that system, such as radiators and fuel tanks counting towards engine points.
