Ke-Z2 Strategic Aether Bomb

The Ke-Z2 series of bombs are mass-produced aether weapons of mass destruction used by the Star Army of Yamatai, with a 50 Megaton yield (equivalent to the real-life Tsar Bomba, which the effects below are sourced from). Like the Ke-Z1 Series Anti-Starship Torpedoes, they are 2.25 meters long and 0.50 meters wide. The bombs detonate 3-4 kilometers over the target. The basic model (Ke-Z2-1A) is unguided but it is designed to be optionally equipped with various guidance modules and has ailerons and an attachment point for a small engine on its tail fins.

This bomb is typically carried by the Ke-V7 "Ginga" Bomber and came to mass production in YE 34 as a cheaper alternative to the similar Ke-Z1 Series Anti-Starship Torpedoes and a cleaner alternative to nuclear weapons. It is designed for use in planets with atmospheres and gravity and is not suited to space use.

• The blast can be seen from over 1000 km away and blows out glass windows up to 900 km away.
• The blast obliterates almost anything within 50 kilometers and can ignite or topple houses up to 300 km away.
• The blast produces a 60 km tall mushroom cloud.
• People receive third-degree burns 100 km away.
• Causes a 5 to 7 Richter Scale seismic shockwave.
• Blast strength can be dialed down by increments of 5 MT if desired, with a minimum of 5 MT.

The front of the bomb has a removable detonator mechanism that is stored separately from the bombs. In order to operate, the detonator needs to be pre-loaded with a unique access code.
