Star Army Training Grenade, Type 38

The Type 38 Training Grenade, is an training hand grenade designed to mimic the weight and form factor of a Star Army Fragmentation Grenade, Type 30. It is used by the Star Army of Yamatai since YE 38.

The grenade is ovoid and has a bright blue exterior with a blue stripe around its side.

It is activated by yanking a loop of string out from the top, which closes an interior electric circuit.

When the grenade “detonates” it creates a volumetric simulated explosion and a mild pop noise. It can be thrown 100 times before it requires a recharge.
