Star Army Fragmentation Grenade, Type 30

The Type 30 Fragmentation Grenade, commonly called “Frag,” is a thrown hand grenade designed to kill by showering the area with high-velocity bits of shrapnel. It is used by the Star Army of Yamatai.

The grenade is ovoid and has a dark gray exterior with an black stripe around its side.

It is activated by yanking a loop of string out from the top, which closes an interior electric circuit. These grenades have an estimated lifespan of about 50 years.
