Ta'te Goly Norjopa (Far Talking Systems)

Poku Afirmu (Clan Crest)

This page lists the types of communications systems in use by the Poku Saeruo Degonjo, they have used these systems since before the Norka (The Exodus). The Otâmovi Wiy Jael (Silver Moon Sect) maintains these systems, and works to refine and improve them.

Meson Communicator

The Clan uses Meson Communicators for medium-range transmissions, does not have the problem laser communications has with dissipating the LASER by dust or gases. Maximum operational range 1 light-seconds, actual range longer, it becomes more difficult to keep proper alignment.

Operation

This communications medium can be either bi-directional or uni-directional. It can only communicate with a single target. A stream of Scalar mesons is fired at a target with a unit that detects mesons. The beam is modulated by the data, which changes the particle emission rate. Bi-directional communications requires a transmitter and a receiver at both ends.

Laser Communicator

For close-range transmissions, it is more difficult for the enemy to intercept, because they have to be in the area of the beam. It is limited to short text type messaging. It is uni-directional, and both vessels must be equipped with the necessary equipment.

Radio

Poku Degonjo Saeruo uses multi-spectrum, Dual-Modulation radio frequency communications. However, all communications are done in a compressed packet format to keep transmission time to a minimum. This means when a verbal message is sent, it is recorded, compressed then transmitted. To be received and decompressed and played back at the receiving point. Clan radio systems are capable of omni-directional, and uni-directional broadcasting.

Starting in 754 CY (YE 35) the clan revised its radio practices. When not in a high alert state vessels may communicate directly without compression.

Subspace

The Clan uses Subspace Communications for urgent and emergency communications. In 754 CY (YE 35) the clan authorized normal communications via this medium.
