Achtung Assault Shuttle

The Achtung Assault Shuttle was created and produced in the Second Quarter of AF 2601)

About the Design

Throughout the Khorsovarolor Conflict, the Abwehran Armed Forces (AAF) found themselves lacking in the ability to make lightning-quick deployments of ground forces for surgical strikes, and lacking in the ability to provide air support for their ground forces.

The Achtung was created to be a fast Aerospace Craft with the ability to deliver a platoon's worth of infantry or singular armored vehicles to locations either from orbit or from bases on the ground. To do this, it was found that the Shuttle needed to have VTOL capability, and if it had VTOL capability it was found practical for the Shuttle to be able to provide air cover. It effectively knocked two birds out with one stone.

History and Background

The Achtung Assault Shuttle was a needed step on the Abwehran Armed Forces (AAF)' evolutionary path on the international stage. The AAF needed the ability to provide fire support, to deploy ground forces, and to have it stay on-location for long periods of time. Therefore, the Abwehran Star Empire contacted its new military contracting company: Dietrich Starkwerk. Within a week, the design team at DSW had created a rough draft of the current Achtung model. Within days, the Abwehran Imperial Yards had revised and edited it, giving birth to the design now currently produced.
