Since the Scientific Studies Service (SSS) is dedicated to Science, it stands to reason that a good number of its personnel are scientists.
Scientists will typically have one or more degrees in one of the areas of study. They typically engage in a systematic activity to acquire knowledge. In a more restricted sense, a scientist is an individual who uses the scientific method. Their studies can be theoretical or applicable.
Some scientists will work solely in laboratories, others in the field. Some will work in both. They are proficient in the tools of their trade. Scientists are trained in the skill of research, and can use both electronic and physical sources.
