The Neshaten Division of Transportation Investigative Department handles all manners of vehicle related incidents including car crashes or even vehicular carjacking. The department works closely with City Guard forces.
Tasked with investigating these cases, the department is split between the Crash Department and Equipment department, each one designed to handle a certain part of an investigation. Investigators typically visit the scene of an accident, collecting as much information as possible, and then using that information to determine what happened and to reconstruct the scene from scratch.
The Crash Departments task is to figure out how a car crash occurred and to determine whether it was started due to equipment failure, driver error, something on the road, or the weather or anything that the investigator come up with.
This department looks over equipment and systems from a crashed vehicle, to determine whether those systems were at fault for a crash. It essentially tests all electronics and equipment on board and will even test any personal items that were in the crash such as electronic devices like communicators.
