Designed for the basic manufacture, storage, and loading of Lorath solid munitions into ship-integrated weapon systems, the small magazine room is intended for the handling of smaller Lorath munitions ranging from 1mm needle type munitions to 40mm munitions. Small magazine rooms use feed systems which route munitions rapidly between various weapon platforms aboard a ship. Munitions produced in the small magazine room are limited and rely upon materials provided from exterior sources. Limited antimatter supplies are produced in the small magazine room. Magazine rooms are protected by a dual-layer Nerimium and boron-carbide 'box', which also incorporates a layered structure system which functions as a Faraday cage to prevent electromagnetic interference. Additional protection for the magazine room includes exterior and interior gravitic regulation, and conformal EM forcefields.
