VCE Suite

VCE

The VCE Suite is a special interface for the Virtual Collective Experience, it became available in YE 34.

About the Suite

The VCE Suite is an input to the VCE but it is used to create experiences for persons interfaced in the experience.

Suites can be constructed to various sizes. They are essentially the equivalent of a studio for VCE. Typical uses are for demonstrating something that has unknown results such as a prototype. Or they can be used by performers such as musicians who want to create their craft in the real world, but share it with people in the VCE.

Inside the Suite

Typically the Suite is laid out with a platform where the person or persons will perform whatever task they have prepared. There are 3D cameras and sound pickups positioned on each wall, to provide a complete image. The walls themselves are covered in sound absorbing fabric. There are volumetric displays that appear in front of the sound walls so that the people on the platform can see a representation of their audience in real time. Speakers are placed in the room, to allow the people in the suite to hear their audience. Though the people in the suite can control the volume.
