The 'Fusion Capable Continuum Distortion Drive' is more correctly called a Fusion-Optomized CDD. While Fusion has been historically capable of operating CDD's, it has been obvious that their ranges and abilities were far inferior to those which were powered by more exotic forms of energy. Commissioned from Origin Industries by the Abwehran Star Empire, two special models of CDD were created, that allowed for extended range CDD travel by Abwehran star ships.
