History
In YE 46, Astrid, the founder and CEO of the Mining Guild, requested a review of the Night Guard's operations. During this review, Vilkas noticed that an update to the uniforms was necessary, particularly for the Separa'Shan members, whose unique physiological needs had not been adequately addressed in the current designs.
Recognizing these issues, Vilkas decided to undertake a comprehensive redesign of the Night Guard uniforms. For the members, Separa’shan members, the new design included flexible and durable materials that accommodated their serpentine lower bodies, ensuring both comfort and protection in various environments.
Design
The Night Guard Tail Guard is engineered to fit the unique physiology of Separa’shan, offering protection and functionality. Key features include:
- Material: The lower half of the uniform is made from advanced moisture-wicking materials that offer superior durability and comfort. These materials include a blend of high-strength synthetic fibers and breathable, flexible fabrics to accommodate the serpentine lower body of the
- Structure: The design includes a reinforced, form-fitting sheath that protects the Naga tail while allowing for full range of motion. The sheath is padded for comfort during extended wear and has adjustable sections to ensure a snug fit.
- Durability Enhancements: The outer layer of the uniform is coated with a special abrasion-resistant material to protect against harsh mining environments and potential combat situations. Additional reinforcements are added to high-wear areas to prevent tears and abrasions.
- Comfort Features: The interior is lined with a soft, breathable fabric that reduces friction and irritation. The uniform also includes strategically placed ventilation panels to help regulate temperature and prevent overheating.
Usage
The Tail Guard Officer's Uniform is an integral part of the Night Guard’s standard officer attire. It is designed to be worn as part of the complete uniform set, ensuring that officers are easily distinguishable from lower ranks.
- Correct Wear: The uniform is to be worn with the upper half of the Night Guard officer’s attire, which includes a durable, moisture-wicking jacket with rank insignias and tactical pockets. The lower half sheath should be adjusted for a secure fit, ensuring maximum mobility and protection.
Cleaning and Care: The uniform is machine washable using a gentle cycle with cold water and mild detergent. For best results, it should be air-dried to maintain the integrity of the advanced fabrics and reinforcements. Regular inspections for wear and tear are recommended, with prompt repairs for any damage to ensure longevity.
