Meant to ensure that clean clothing, particularly that of the undergarment variety remains the standard, the Model 44 Standardized Laundry Room serves this purpose aboard their vessels and assists in maintaining a minimum standard of hygiene among yeomen.
Like the other Standardized Systems, the Standardized Laundry Room is a scaleable, well, laundry room. Containing a number of washers and air dryers appropriate to the size of the crew located along the walls. Water is supplied via an independent tank from the rest of the life-support system and is recycled-filtered via reverse osmosis and physical water filters to remove any contaminants and then is reused in the system.
There are some rumors floating around that occasionally clothes disappear out the washers; eaten by whatever soap is used-but this is generally disregarded as hearsay and the yeomen playing pranks on one another.
