The Station (NO) Hull Construction method was first utilized by Geshrinari Shipyards in YE 33.
It uses a Monocoque structural frame of Nerimium that is covered in Osmiridium plates.
This method of hull construction was created specifically for the Ge-H1-7A - Kōdaina Minato-Class Orbital Installation refit. The original station design utilized a frame of reinforced Nerimium in addition to hull plating and interiors composed of titanium alloys – many of the modern Yamataian building materials such as Durandium Alloy, Yama-Dura, Yamataium and Osmiridium had not yet been developed when the first Kōdaina Minato station was brought online more than a century ago – though Nerimium is a naturally occurring metal that even then was known to exist. Because entirely replacing the interior framework would be incredibly time consuming and expensive, refitted stations typically only have the hull and interiors replaced with Osmiridium during their upgrades – and even that process takes upwards of 3 months. All new stations of the Kōdaina Minato-Class are built with Nerimium and Osmiridium from the onset.
