The following details the operational structure of the Fujiko Self-Defense Force. While it shares some similarity with the Star Army of Yamatai due to some members being SAoY veterans and consulting with Nepleslian Reds currently within the SAoY on what works, the Fujiko Self Defense Force is an updated scheme on Nepleslian Reds organizational schemes.
For as long as most Reds have remembered, they have always been in some kind of conflict, usually against the current rulers of the Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia. The concept of war and self-defense gradually became ingrained in their culture, further pushed with the psychological conditioning given to clones to replace losses. Though they are still Nepleslians at heart and have largely not changed how they organized their military-oriented assets.
The Fujiko Self-Defense Force is made up of two components: active duty and the reserves. The Reserves are responsible for overseeing the multitude of militias. In exchange for “cleaning” up their acts, the FSDF provides the militias access to better equipment, pay, and training (monthly accountability and month-long drills). The majority of combat arms personnel are reservists, focusing on part-time service and training for emergency scenarios.
The Fujiko Self-Defense Force is led by a corporate director who reports to the director-general of the Fujiko Security Directorate (the FDC's security division). The FSDF director is assisted by the Commanding General and the respective heads of various FSDF Commands and agencies forming the FSDF Staff. Collectively, they are known as Headquarters, Fujiko Self-Defense Force (HQDF).

Helping to organize the activities of the FSDF, a number of commands have been established. Each is responsible for a specific part of FSDF operations.
To ease coordination between FSDF forces and the Star Army of Yamatai, regional commands were created for each system within the region. While the Reds do not officially occupy much terrestrial territory in the Arzank System, it is included due to the strategic importance to the Reds.

Below are the standard methods of how ground units are operationally divided into components. The Spacy Self-Defense Force is organized into ad-hoc task forces centered around each ship's crew requirements. Unit types (such as mechanized infantry) and even specific units might change the standard structure according to operational needs. The following serve as guidelines rather than set rules:
A Corps in the FSDF is a large military formation that signifies strategic-level command and control. Each Corps includes a Corps Head and a Headquarters Battalion, which is the epicenter for planning and executing large-scale operations.
The Division represents a significant tactical unit within the FSDF, typically consisting of three or more Regiments. Divisions are structured to be self-sufficient units capable of executing a wide range of military operations independently.
Regiments in the FSDF represent the smallest self-sufficient level of organization. Regiments are often the primary units deployed in operational scenarios, from combat missions to peacekeeping and humanitarian efforts.
Battalions within the FSDF are fundamental tactical units, typically consisting of several companies, batteries, or troops. Battalions are designed to execute tactical operations within the framework established by higher command levels. They are versatile and capable of performing a range of tasks from direct combat to support roles.
These units represent the building blocks of the FSDF's operational structure. They are adaptable units designed to execute tasks within their specific operational domain, and they often form the backbone of the FSDF’s tactical capabilities.
Platoons are the smallest units capable of independent action within the FSDF. They are often involved in direct combat, reconnaissance, and other field operations.
Sections and Squads represent the most fundamental operational units within the FSDF. These units are tailored to specific roles and are vital for executing tactical objectives.
Teams, or Fire Teams in combat roles, are the smallest units within the FSDF. These highly specialized groups handle detailed tasks in combat or support operations.
The major units of the Fujiko Self-Defense Force consist of Corps, Divisions, and separate Regiments/Units. Corps represent the strategic-level command, while Divisions focus on operational capabilities. Regiments are highly specialized units.
Each Corps in the FSDF is a large military formation overseeing multiple divisions and specialized units.
