Reika was created in YE 35. During basic training, Reika met 4 girls who would become her best friends in the world. The five of them, though all different occupations, requested similar assignments.
Over the next few years they mostly were able to be together, but even when they had different assignments they kept in touch. Finally, in YE39 they all made it back together when they were assigned to the YSS Wakaba.
In late YE39 Reika, along with the whole Wakaba were lost to space. In the ensuing battles that were fought, Reika's fighting skill came to the attention of Joto Heisho Setsunu Meiosei, leader of the renowned Angels of Death. Setsunu asked Reika to join the Angels, an honor that Reika quickly jumped on.
