Kaemon is a rather quite person, due to the fact that he prefers other peoples opinions above his own. He is very polite and mannered around all people, but he is especially polite around females. He doesn’t care much for socializing with others, and only begins trying to create friendships after he feels he knows an individuals personality rather well. He is almost always calm and shows no real emotion unless he finds himself in positions where it cannot be helped but to show it. He doesn’t show any real interest in his chosen career, because he would rather be studying math or physics.

Kaemon was born on Yamatai and has lived there his entire life. His parents were very abusive, and due to this he ran away at the age of seventeen. He worked at a library for three years, and during this time he gained his interest in Mathematics and Physics. Kaemon eventually convinced one of the library's patrons, an esteemed physicist, to teach him anything that he could about the subjects. Several months after his twentieth birthday, a fire in his house severely burned him while he was asleep. He was forced to transfer to a Yamataian body, which he requested with specifications similar to his previous body. After the incident, he joined the Star Army of Yamatai, so that he could forget about everything bad which had happened to him.

Kaemon is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. He is fluent in English, and can also speak, though not very efficiently, in Japanese. He can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc.

Kaemon received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. He is fairly skilled in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons he is trained in include energy pistols, knives, and power armor.

Kaemon is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. He can retrieve information, but cannot find it as quickly and efficiently as most fighter can.

Kaemon received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.

Kaemon has advanced mathematics training, including a rough study of statistics and calculus. His knowledge in these subjects was obtained through personal studies during the time he wasn’t spending training.

Kaemon has rough scientific training in the fields of basic and theoretical physics. He acquired this knowledge on his own time like he did his advanced mathematics training.

Kaemon can play the violin fairly well, but due to his lack of musical training he can't read music. He must learn a song by ear, in order to play it correctly.
