Miyamoto Natsume

Natsume is a Non-Player Character controlled by Tyler and is currently involved in the Mishhu Research Lab plot.

Personality: Quiet, reserved and confident are three words that can describe Natsume, she comes off to people she’s around as almost too quiet. It’s not that she’s personable, quite the opposite in fact. Just when she’s around other people Natsu tends to keep to herself and listen more than speak, sometimes this helps gather information because nobody thinks much of the girl sitting by herself sipping tea quietly. She’s led a disciplined, strictly ordered life having grown up with her martial arts heavy family. So she thinks in a regimented fashion and is sometimes blunt and concise about her words.

Likes: Mint Tea, Rice Cakes, Natto, Sweet Bean Paste, Porkstickers, Leaning new things, Making new discoveries and Seeing her work used. Dislikes: Failure, Mishhu and Loud Music Goals: To break the secrets of the Mishhu open and witness their final destruction.

Natsume was a geshrin originally, born on Yamatai to loving parents and eventually would have a younger brother as well. All her life she aspired to be a doctor or scientist, having not liked the idea of killing other people. When she joined the military at 16, she would end up in a position of a nurse aboard a ship and would stay there for a long time until the species restriction act. Faced with possible expulsion because of her race; Natsume had her body upgraded to that of a Yamataian. Time went on as it always did and she'd serve well and admirably for her position, and was quick and efficient in her actions; saving many lives. She'd work her way through the ranks and even attracted the attentions of officers that were interested in her. But an unfortunate situation where her ship had been defeated and captured by the SMX changed her outlook on life and personality forever. Natsume had since taken a lover and was planning on marrying him, but when the ship was taken. He was killed protecting her and Natsume was taken and raped several times and used for a breeder. The act killed her unborn child, the incident made her angry but she couldn't fight back because of the amount of sedatives she'd been injected with. But within a few months a friendly ship rescued her when their armored soldiers raided the ship. In disgust of her body and the unbearable memories it carried for her, she'd change bodies again to a new one. When she escaped, she'd managed to procure a few small items of mishhu technology and brought them with her. After months of study, she'd present her superiors with useful knowledge- and eventually she'd be asked to administer the research lab to study both the Mishhu and their tech: she accepted in the spirit of revenge.

• yss_asuka- Natsume served since her inception aboard the Asuka and it was her home. In fact she practically lived in the medbay of the ship. That was before the Ambush at Murf where she was captured.

• Hotaru Star Fortress- After being rescued, she served a short stint as a scientist and medical personnel on the station before being assigned to the Mishhu Research Lab

Natsume is familiar with basic radio operation and procedures and can make transmissions to and receive transmissions from other characters through headsets, starships, power armor, and shuttles in both combat and non-combat conditions. Natsume is fluent in Nepleslian, and Yamataian. She can speak and write both correctly and efficiently and can write reports, fill forms, issue orders under fire, etc. She has also had training in telepathic communication

Natsume received hand-to-hand combat training, followed up with a rigorous training program. She is skilled and experienced in combat both in Yamatai-like conditions and in zero-gravity, with and without weapons. Weapons she is trained in include energy pistols, knives, energy rifles, grenade launchers and power armor.

Natsume is capable of operating any computer system that uses the Kessaku OS, found on all Star Army starships. She is proficient in entering and/or searching for information. She also has very basic understanding of Mishhu technology.

Natsume received basic mathematics training, to including up to algebra and trigonometry.

Natsume has been thoroughly educated in medical knowledge and can treat many different ailments and is educated in performining autopsies and processing forensics. Her understanding of racial biologies is impressive through all the times she's spent reading and learning about them.

Natsume has been educated through the Kyoto War college courses in Star Army history and law. She is has a constant thirst to know more so her knowledge base is ever expanding as well.

Since her days as a low level nurse on a starship, Natsu's always been a born leader and is fully capable of public speaking and controlling small groups of people. But it only extends to other scientists and doctors/nurses, not soldiers.
