-Not too long after the introduction of the Origin Armored Personnel Carrier, Origin Industries was commissioned to provide several ground vehicles for the [[stararmy:star_army_of_yamatai]]. Specifically, The [[stararmy:fleets:fifth_standard_fleet]], which was rearming itself with more adequate equipment at the time. With a vehicle commission consisting of experts in the field and several soldiers and ex-soldiers from the front lines, the Type 34 Armored General Purpose Carrier was made.

-The vehicle was produced with a focus on cheap, easy production, as well as equally cost efficient maintenance  and repair. To top this, the Type 34 AGPC was also made to be the basis of several other vehicles, just as the [[corp:origin:armored_personnel_carrier|Origin APC]] was before it. In YE 34, Origin Industries produced the first initial production run of vehicles for the Fifth Fleet of the Star Army of Yamatai.

-Best described as an armored box on eight wheels, the Type 34 sports a Star Army Multi-Net Camouflage Pattern straight out of the factory, rather than parade colors due to its provisional and field test model nature.

-The vehicle features a ramming bumper with several pyramidal studs for extra damage, and spaced armor on the sides composed of thick metal plates held at a fair distance from the main body of the vehicle. At its rear is a boarding ramp often used by bot crew and infantry alike - atop the vehicle is a wide selection of weapon systems which the visible primary sensors orientate along with the crew.

-A small unmanned, remote control weapon station sporting a gauss autocannon is visible on the right side of the upper deck, beside the commander's cupola. Several boxes for mini-missiles are located across the hull, and loaded with projectiles for various defensive or utility uses. In the upper superstructure, the sponson mounted automatic grenade launchers, one to each side of the vehicle, are clearly visible, with the forward arc of the superstructure being well angled to increase protection.

-The main compartment stretches from the vehicle's rear ramp to just behind the commander's station and serves as the primary area for the vehicle's passengers. It is of modular layout, allowing for the vehicle to be adopted to a variety of roles. These roles include carrying powered armored infantry, acting as a mobile field ambulance, and a food or supply hauler. Inside is a variety of locations for the storage of weapons, ammunition and equipment, and though spacious for SAoY personnel, is very slightly cramped for the typical Yamataian power armor.

-At the head and to the left of the main compartment is the commander's station, which is composed of a crash seat and a volumetric command and control system. To the left is the gunner's station and the vehicle's forward hatch; from here, the gunner may remotely control the mounted weapon on the vehicle. -The hull of the Type 34 Armored General Purpose Carrier consists of interlocking pieces of [[materials:adnr|ADNR]] encased and reinforced with [[materials:durandium]] to save weight yet provide strength. This configuration provides ample structural integrity, as the more malleable material provides some degree of give, preventing shattering, while the harder material makes up for the softer material's lack of hardness and in turn assists in preventing deformation.

-Meanwhile, armor itself consists of  [[materials:yama_dura]] plates laminated with 5mm of [[materials:durandium]] for the outer coating. These armor plates are mounted to the hull using a modular, easy on and off system, allowing for expedient repairs to damage done. -The nuclear, biological and chemical protection systems allow the vehicles to completely seal up and either filter air from the outside, or recycle internal atmosphere for up to 3 days before the catalytic converter expires. In the case of contaminated air getting inside the cabin, the NBC systems also have an emergency 'flush' mode where it goes into overdrive, rapidly blowing out contaminated air and replacing it with uncontaminated atmosphere to decontaminate the interior. In addition, the system can seal itself against the vacuum of space, and re-pressurize the cabin up to 4 times off its own air supply.

The electrical motors provide a nearly silent and smooth ride while providing instant torque, unlike combustion based vehicles that rely on fuels to be burned. Hardened polymer wheels designed to mitigate damage incurred by kinetic, explosive and energy weapons are used; being surprisingly durable, it takes considerable firepower to destroy all four wheels on one side of the vehicle to score a mobility kill, though any one wheel lost will reduce mobility.
