 The Star Army also used a forest green beret for its planetary forces for a couple years. It was adopted in [[timeline:ye_34]]((https://stararmy.com/roleplay-forum/index.php?threads/uniform-updates-for-the-star-army-of-yamatai.5862/page-12#post-129319)) and discontinued at the start of [[timeline:ye_36]]((https://stararmy.com/roleplay-forum/index.php?threads/uniform-updates-for-the-star-army-of-yamatai.5862/page-18#post-161098)). Some critics did not like the beret because they felt the look was too close to the [[faction:nepleslia:uniforms:nepleslian_military_headgear|beret]] used by the [[faction:nepleslia:military:nepleslian_space_marine_corps]]. After it was discontinued, the berets were sold as [[stararmy:surplus_store|surplus]]. The [[stararmy:rikugun]] started using them again in [[timeline:ye_39]] as part of the [[stararmy:uniforms:field uniform type 37]].
