-With the establishment of [[corp:universal_cinematics]] in [[timeline:ye_02]], the increase in popularity for Film exploded in the [[faction:yamatai_star_empire]]. With that in mind, long-time producer Victor Strauss came to [[planet:yamatai]] to convey the establishment of a new film company. With [[timeline:ye_10]] soon approaching, Victor thought up the name of New Decade Entertainment, which became NDE for short.
-As the company was formed, Victor Strauss took up the role as President, while his partner Lucas Hawthorne took up the role as co-chairman for the Board. Long-time director Chris Marcus, an associate of Lucas, took up the role of Chief of production. George Harrot, David Carter & Charles Hayes would become some of the very successful directors that NDE employed, creating multiple film series. Gregory Tam, David Barnes & Billy Marshal directed several stand-alone films for NDE.
-The first success for NDE came in the form of the The Train Robber series from Harrot, that ran from [[timeline:ye_09]] until [[timeline:ye_14]]. The series earned NDE a place in the film industry, amongst other giants. The publicity the films brought, attracted investors of [[corp:universal_cinematics]], who negotiated a deal as subsidiary of Universal. In [[timeline:ye_12]], NDE was wholly bought by Universal, becoming it subsidiary. Under their flag, NDE would successfully develop two other franchises: The Cabinet, from Carter, and Red Bonnet, from Hayes. The dialogue used in the films, was revolutionary, and inspired other dialogue techniques to be developed. In [[timeline:ye_13]], Lion Effects was created to compete with Universal's Temple Effects & Sounds. However, since [[timeline:ye_19]] and the acquisition by [[corp:yukosfilm]], it has remained a small player in the effects and sounds industry and is overshadowed by [[corp:yukosfilm|Yukosfilm's]] own Temple Effects & Sounds.
-With the bankruptcy of [[corp:universal_cinematics|Universal]] in [[timeline:ye_19]], NDE was once again up for sale, where it was bought by [[corp:yukosfilm]], who also relocated the studios of NDE to their own complex. This continued after the destruction [[location:Geshrinopolis]], and the NDE studios still reside in the complex of Yukosfilm. The work of cameramen Freddy Grant and Lucas Magall led to the development of new cinematic techniques, while the work of designers  Juliette Hajer and Miri Kajet changed the way of costume designing forever.
