Although the Hyperspace Tap generators are very powerful units, they are very visible through the use of many sensor systems. NAM’s heavy fusion reactors produce far less of an impact on space itself, don’t as blatantly announce their presence, and aren’t as overkill in power output compared to other reactors making them a more attractive prospect for certain situations. However unlike the Hyperspace Tap the fusion reactor requires fuel, and can not fully power many ubertech devices like FTL engines.
