The MFB (Multi-Function Bracelet) is a first. Designed by Shoi Yuriko Towa and produced by Kessaku Systems, the MFB is intended for use in the Star Army of Yamatai as a possible replacement, or alternate choice over the Type 29 Communicator.
The bracelet is a nicely designed accessory that can be easily fitted if need be to the appropriate size for anyone's wrist, and is hollow where its internal mechanisms are stored.
It has a very small jewel imbeded in it which while pleasing in appearance, also serves a couple of purposes. One being it helps in the formation of the volumetric display interface, second the jewel's color matches the rank pin coloration of its owner. The bracelet itself comes in three colors, gold, silver or gunmetal grey. The MFB is a bit unique in its power requirements. While on a Yamataian vessel, it can be charged, and powered wirelessly. However, when out in the field it can run on its own internal battery which has a life of three weeks.
