YSS Battle of Becurn

The YSS Battle of Becurn is the flagship of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet.

The YSS Battle of Becurn was proceeded by the YSS Battle Of Ayenee Capital City which was severely damaged in the Battle Of Becurn in YE 46.4. A Izanagi-Class Dreadnought was pulled from Nataria Fleet Depot and was redesignated as the “YSS Battle of Becurn NF-X5-15”. From Nataria Fleet Depot the ship was transferred to Port Jiyuu for outfitting as ordered by Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko.

The YSS Battle of Becurn follows in the footsteps of mighty vessels that have been the flagship of the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet. The legacy began with the YSS Akuro, a Chiharu-class Flagship built at Ketsurui Fleet Yards,Luna Bianca. The YSS Akuro II followed in YE 29. The legacy of the two vessels was many explored and colonized worlds.. In YE 30, during the construction of the The Akuro III, the fleet was disbanded due to the situation where several members of the fleet followed Motoyoshi Kiyoko and her brother Motoyoshi Tio to the United Outer Colonies. The The Akuro III, only partially finished construction was given to the United Outer Colonies without the consent of Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko or the Star Army of Yamatai by Koyanagi Mayumi. The ship did not return to the Star Army of Yamatai until the Battle Of Glimmergold in YE 43.¹⁾

In YE 44, the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet was reformed. In the beginning, Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko had planed for the YSS Resurrection Of Taiie (A new Takumi 2A) to become the flagship of the fleet. A Izanagi-Class Dreadnought, the YSS Battle Of Ayenee Capital City, became available and was transferred by Taisho Ketsurui Yui from the First Fleet. The YSS Battle Of Ayenee Capital City served the Fifth Expeditionary Fleet faithfully until YE 46.4 when it was severely damaged in the Battle Of Becurn and was going to be scrapped and turned into a space station. Subsequently, Taisho Ketsurui Yui then transferred the YSS Battle of Becurn from Nataria Fleet Depot to replace the fallen ship.²⁾ Later that same month, the YSS Battle of Becurn was sent to Port Jiyuu to be outfitted and customized.³⁾

When contacting the YSS Battle of Becurn, the caller will likely reach Nitô Hei Becurn Saori. Saori is a cute NH-33 (Tennyo) sprite made by the ship's KAMI in YE 46. She serves as a Star Army Communications Specialist and is usually stationed on the bridge. She has a bubbly personality and a positive attitude which is infectious to those around her.

The ship's KAMI, like most Star Army of Yamatai PANTHEON systems, has produced an avatar. Her name is Becurn Sora. She is a beautiful Nekovalkyrja with mint green hair and emerald green eyes. She holds the rank of Taii and is listed as a Star Army Starship Operator.Taisho Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko has granted her a officer's cabin rather than to have her in the computer room. While on duty, Sora is very serious and dedicated to her duties. After hours she mingles with the crew and embraces time off the ship so that she can explore.

The following are the modifications to the YSS Battle of Becurn's systems, interior and aesthetics.

The following systems have been modified during the outfitting:

• The Hemosynthetic Conduit System has been updated to the Nodal Liquid Conduit System in the entire ship.
  • The Standard Star Army Fabrication Area has been refit for the Universal Hemosynthetic Fabrication System Type 43.
  • Required upgrades to Star Army Standard Life Support Systems and Hemosynthetic Reconstruction Tube due to the change over.
• Switched from the standard Hyperspace Drive to the Yumeoibito Hyperspace Fold Drive and sacrificed some module expansion space to hold the additional capacitors.
• Additional clusters of ion thrusters have been added to increase the sluggish maneuverability of the ship. This array of clusters has a 15% increase to maneuverability.
• The addition of Froggy Teleportation Systems in key areas on the ship.
• Added Kaminari Quantum Foam Generators and additional capacitors as redundancies to the current power system.
• Added Type 34 Interior Sensor System on all decks.
• Increased the number of Scalable Graviton Beam Projector on the hull, launch bays, etc.

The modified interior compartments and spaces.

• Sacrificed several Standard Star Army Officers' Cabin and Standard Star Army Crew Cabin (Enlisted) to put in several Combined Sciences Laboratories.
• Modified Palace-Style Passageways. Rather than the usual Ketsurui-Motoyoshi Katsuko decided on a nautical theme, since Becurn is a water planet. This includes Volumetric Windows that are made to look like portholes, fine wooden furniture, pictures and painting with a nautical theme.
• Some of the decks will also have aquariums like those on Aquarius Star Fortress, hoever, these will host species native to Becurn and will be designed so they have a place if they bring any Cemlae onto the ship. Transparent Zesuaium provides strong protection from flooding or other incidents.
• YSS Tokyo-Style Taisho's suite , with the same specifications.
• Improvement of equipment and storage in the Standard Star Army Galley and Standard Star Army Wardroom, for the Takeda House trained chef.⁴⁾.
• Added dedicated NH-33M (Miniature) living, entertainment and work areas.

The ship has been modified similarly to the YSS Battle Of Yamatai to include a full-sized aerial football stadium, with production and studio facilities. The Aerial Football team is named “Becurn Mermaids” plays in the Imperial League with teams from other flagships.
