The Interpreter variant of the Nightmare Type Mishhuvurthyar is a form made specifically for very high-ranked Mishhuvurthyar or for the use of the enigmatic Dark Ones.
Physically, they are not very dissimilar to normal Nightmare's, except their bone-plating tends to be darker, with either void black or blood red coloration. Eye color also generally matches their bone plating – though this is not always the case. External appearance means little however, as with their holographic abilities an Interpreter can appear however they wish to be perceived.
The greatest differences in the Interpreter variant are in their abilities – in addition to all the standard set of Nightmare abilities, they possess incredibly powerful psionic capabilities that can reach across far greater distances than are possible for a normal Nightmare. Their ability to generate holographic illusions is also more formidable – an Interpreter can project illusions even at short distances. It is also believed that the Interpreter Nightmare is capable of entering a phase state, allowing it to pass through solid objects and barriers when needed.
The Interpreter variant does not actually store a consciousness within the body itself – the brain incorporates an organ designed for the reception of extremely long-distance encrypted telepathy, allowing an Interpreter body to be utilized as an avatar by a remote operator – even across light-years of distance.
Use of the Interpreter variant is restricted to authorized GMs |
