An MG will specialize in a multitude of weapons varieties; arms such as shotguns, semiautomatic and automatic rifles, pistols, submachine guns, machine guns, explosives, both portable and large-scale, mounted weapons systems, and various rockets, torpedoes, and missiles. As well as this, MGs care for and assist in operating shooting ranges, armories, and the storage and maintenance of arms.
The MG is normally responsible for directing the ship weapon systems during battle and for the inventory and maintenance of ship ammunition stores. However, as the Baba Yaga is a Freespacer vessel, the ship's SI normally directs the weapon systems.
