Zanarium is a stealth armor initially used by Yamatai and Democratic Imperium of Nepleslia, and occasionally has found its way to other nations through less-than-reputable channels.
Zanarium as an armor material provides minor protection from starship weapons fire while providing stealth from sensors. However, it has a steep energy cost that generally limits its use during battle — dropping shields or draining weapons often is required.
