Myrassil
Myrassil is a cellulose based fiber harvested from Myrassil plants from the United Norian Imperium. It is utilized to produce several types of Textiles and is considered a luxury commodity.
History and Background
Myrassil is generally utilized in artisan produced products, it is considered expensive and is available in too small of quantities to utilize in mass manufacturing applications. Items made with Myrassil, are generally considered to be luxuries. It was discovered in YE 02, and has been treasured ever since.

Description
Myrassil plants are originally from Lorenz, the plants tend to grow on high altitude plateaus and are generally only cultivated in small quantities. It is hard to grow, and is dependent on the microclimate present in their natural growing regions. Attempts to transplant it have been unsuccessful and therefore it tends to be moderately expensive in comparison to other fabrics. The boll/clusters that contain the highest concentration of fiber are extremely dense in comparison to Verculin and do not float, so they have to be harvested by hand or machine.
In terms of texture and feel, Myrassil is similar to silk but is from a plant-based source. It has a soft, shimmering appearance and is utilized in many applications. It is known for its high tensile strength and non-reactive chemical properties.
