Designed to handle vehicle launching operations on mid-sized platforms, the medium launch bay is designed to launch both fighters and armor units with moderate speed and volume. Only a handful of craft can be stored in the medium launch bay, thus raising a requirement for vehicle lifts to provide additional units if a launch platform is capable of supporting such a system. Like other launch bay designs, medium launch bays incorporate the standard features such as rail driven launch catapults, bay defense systems, atmospheric forcefields, and bay doors.
