Nanoscopic machines used for medical purposes, they are normally stored in vials of Protein Shield Solution for use in Hyposprays. Each vial of Nanobots is pre-programmed by a Medical Technician or Combat Medic using a Multipurpose Palm Computer before being injected into a patient's bloodstream. The Protein Shield protects each nanobot for ten hours, protecting them against the Abwehran's immune system so they can complete their assigned task. Improved models were designed during the Second Quarter of AF 260 (YE 32).
